We invest a great deal in our outward appearance. We pay attention to nutrition, fitness,
clothing, looks. But that is only one part of being human. There is another part. The Bible calls it the inner being. It is our actual personality. Martin looks with you at this inner personality, to which belong such aspects as our thinking, our will, our conscience, our values, our emotions, our faith, our character, our identity and much more.
What is important to us, what drives us, what are we passionate about, what do we align our life with? What shapes our decisions and priorities? Whatever fills our inner being will also determine our speech, our behaviour and our actions. It is good to be aware of that.
Keep your heart with all diligence your heart, for out of it spring the issues of life.
