From the moment you were born again, God has lived in you through his Spirit. In other words: even here and now, "heaven is in you."

When God's kairos moment has come and you cross the finish line of your race of faith, you will enter into the heavenly dimension, into your eternal home. But what will you do there? Is it merely to enjoy the situation of there being no more pain, no more tears, and no more suffering there, and to praise the Lord? Or is there more?

Sigrid's encouragement for you today is to fix your gaze on the fact that you have an important, God-given task to fulfill in eternity. Your life here is the time of preparation, the training phase, for the reign you will one day exercise together with Jesus. If you are born again, you will reign with him forever. And the training for this begins already, here and now.

The Lord gave her two spiritual pictures that helped her gain a deeper understanding of the reality of heaven and our task there.

And night will be no more, and they will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.
