The God Who Sees Me
At the start of the Tebah Conference of God’s House (Tebah is the Hebrew word for “ark”), a networking conference specifically for home groups and arks held in September 2023, Sigrid warmly welcomed the participants.
Then Martin stopped a stirring sermon. A few days earlier, while praying, he had unexpectedly seen in a vision a young woman whose face had been brutally disfigured by a malicious, vile man. The woman was mutilated, utterly degraded. Martin realized that there are people among God’s people who have suffered similarly—in part physically, but far more so in their spirit and soul. She had been robbed, her dreams shattered; she had been trampled in the dirt, rejected, insulted, berated, and perhaps even abused. The Bible speaks very openly about this and shows us, among others, Hagar. She was humiliated and, in her pain, fled into the desert. But That's where she met El Roi, the “God who sees me.”
God sees you, too. He reaches out His hand to you and says, “Come! Come out of the pain, the suffering, the accusations… Come to Me!”
You are a God who sees me!
