In the Old Testament, we find the Book of Nehemiahh. The central theme of this short but remarkable book is the urgent need to rebuild the wall surrounding the city of Jerusalem, which was still in ruins after the end of the Babylonian exile. The enemy was able to move in and out of the city unhindered.

The Bible often speaks of walls. Some must be overcome because they are occupied by enemies. Others are built for protection. What can we learn from these various accounts for our lives of faith?
