The Bible tells us a great deal about fire. It speaks of natural fire, but above all of spiritual, supernatural, divine fire. This is a sign of God’s presence, His nearness, His glory, His judgment, His power, and His Spirit.

Martin talks with you about how fire in the Bible is practically God’s trademark—His logo. And just as in the natural world, fire in the spiritual realm also requires three things. It needs fuel—that is, our lives, our sacrifices, our devotion, our praise, and our obedience. It needs oxygen, air, wind—that is the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit of God. And it needs the heat of the igniting spark—that is our baptism in the Spirit, the kindling of God’s fire within us.
