In Scripture, we repeatedly encounter the statement that “the time had come”—that is, the right moment for God to intervene had arrived. Why did God send precisely at that time, 2,000 years ago Send His Son into the world? Why was this the moment God referred to as “the perfect time”?

We'd like to think about this with you. It's similar to pregnancy. At some point, the time will come when what God has planned and prepared must come to fruition. Contractions begin, the painful process of childbirth begins … and something completely new and unique is brought into the world.

But when the time had come, God sent forth his Son
