We read in the Bible that David came into a situation where he grew weary of fighting. In our lives too, there are times when we can grow weary amid all the challenges and battles we face. In such phases, Psalm 23 is a great help to me. Here we find — precisely when we are facing the enemy — a brilliant promise:

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies
Psalm 23:5

This table of the Lord is always there for us. We can have continual fellowship with the Lord. Even if not all problems are solved and I find myself "in the presence of my enemies," the Lord's provision and blessing are there in abundance.

He will give me a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over (Luke 6:38):

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Psalm 23:5

That times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord
Acts 3:20
