Some situations are confusing, unclear, hard to make sense of, ill-defined, chaotic, and somehow unsettling. Everyone finds such chaotic circumstances unpleasant and stressful. Even those who are in difficult relationships, dealing with a chaotic daily life, or experiencing emotional turmoil feel that things aren't “the way they’re supposed to be.”

In such cases, some Christians say, “This needs to be set right, because God is a God of order!” Sigrid thought about this and asked herself, What is actually meant when it is said that God is a God of order?. Are we talking about laws, commandments, or rules? Do they still have any relevance for us? Can they bring order to the chaos? Or what is meant by this?

May my lips pour forth your praise, for you teach me your Regulations.
