Time and again, we read in the Bible that there are certain periods that precede a victory, a breakthrough, or a new beginning. These are times of struggle, times of preparation, times of celebration, times of harvest, times in the wilderness, and… yes: times of waiting. Waiting is something many of us find difficult, yet Scripture speaks a great deal about it, about Persevere, hang in there, keep at it, stick with it.

Sometimes our journey seems to come to a standstill; sometimes we don't know how to proceed; sometimes we can't quite make out the path we're supposed to take; sometimes we push on a door that won't open. Waiting periods help us delve deeper into things and sort them out, to grow and mature on our own, to seek the Lord, and to focus on His plans, His strategy, and His initiatives.

Sigrid talks with you about people of faith who had to endure times of waiting. We can learn a lot from them.

But if we hope for what we do not see, then wait we, through perseverance.
