The Latter Rain and the End of the Age
One of the great subjects of the Bible is rain. Israel was completely dependent on it. It has decisive importance for the harvest and it is important that it falls at the right, appointed time — as early rain, rain, and late rain. Since this holds equally in the natural realm as in the spiritual, the word of God repeatedly uses rain as a prophetic picture for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit .
Martin looks with you at various biblical statements on this. He is convinced that we are in the time of the latter rain. The first showers began at the start of the twentieth century, and we are approaching the full outpouring of what the Lord has promised us.
But what does this actually have to do with the end of the age? And why does such high urgency and seriousness lie in all of it — for you and me too?
Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains . You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
