Sigrid talks about the importance of hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. He lives in every born-again Christian. We need to take time to get to know Him better and become more attuned to His promptings. This also applies to reading the Bible. Knowing Him makes all the difference in the life of every Christian.

When it comes to the topic of authority, we sometimes encounter a peculiar, medieval-seeming image of God in certain Christian circles. God is at the top, and below Him is the ruler, whose actions are legitimized by God. He is, so to speak, a ruler “by the grace of God.” One must obey him; otherwise, one is rebelling against God.

Martin explores the question of why spiritual leaders in 21st-century Germany Urging Christians to simply “go along with” whatever those in power say and act. Why are opposing viewpoints, criticism, questioning, moral courage, resistance, or even “Protestant protest” itself practically frowned upon? Is conformity really what the Bible calls us to do?
