God looks into our heart, into what is hidden, into what lies behind the facade. He knows us and has a great interest in continually changing us more and more and leading us through processes of cleansing, refining, and sanctification. He wants us to "be transformed into the same image" (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Sigrid looks with you at some of these processes, which as a rule we don't enjoy, but which are nevertheless very important for our life with the Lord. That which has eternal worth in our lives is refined in the fire of God. The dross rises to the surface, and everything that is not pleasing to God is skimmed off — so that what is truly valuable in his eyes comes forth.
