During the “dranbleiben” conference in Rotenburg an der Fulda, an event took place on May 10, 2024, Remarkable use of the shofar took place. Based on the account in Judges 6 of Gideon’s decisive victory with his 300 chosen warriors, Sigrid and Martin talked about Gideon, God’s unusual and challenging instructions, and one of the most remarkable victories recorded in the Bible.

Sigrid began by looking into Gideon as a person. He considered himself defeated, was hiding and was extremely surprised when an angel of God addressed him as a “brave hero.” That is exactly how many of us in God’s people feel today. The circumstances are challenging and oppressive, and there is hardly any light to be seen on the horizon. Yet God does not see us that way. He also sees you and me as brave heroes for His Kingdom and wants to bring His plans and purposes to life through us.
