In Acts 1:8, Jesus promised His disciples that they would receive something entirely new, namely Power – Dynamis Power. Power to proclaim the gospel effectively. Power that through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was given. The fulfillment of this promise took place on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem. We read about this outpouring in Acts 2. It was something new and never seen before.

All Christians need an experience of this supernatural power in their lives – every one of us. This power is necessary in order to serve God and to live for Him. It is not negotiable, not optional.
