For the beginnings of Christian mission in Africa were modest and exceedingly arduous. Many precious missionaries invested their lives for Africa, gave their hearts to the continent and its people – and yet saw no fruit, or only inconspicuous fruit, for all their efforts. But that was to change! For the harvest is something that generations of Christians have worked on and are still working on.
