When a person becomes a Christian, he steps onto a battlefield in the spiritual world. For at once there begins around him a fierce battle. It is a battle that will last until his final breath in this world. A battle that God wants to be fought – not against flesh and blood, not against people, but against the attacks of the enemy and his demonic powers.

If we do not fight, we will live in defeat – that is, when we give up, capitulate, stay down, lay down our weapons. But God did not send us into the battle to lose or to be tormented, but so that we triumph and rejoice over the fleeing enemy.
