One of the central concepts of the New Testament is “dynamis.” It does not describe a theoretical, abstract strength, but rather an active, manifesting power—that is, a power that actually brings about, changes, or produces something. Dynamis is driving force.

The term refers to God’s active power in creation as well as the power that accomplishes our salvation and new birth (Ephesians 1:19–20). It is the power that brings about signs, wonders, and mighty deeds, and that is responsible for the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers is used. It is the power that each of us absolutely needs!

The Kingdom of God does not consist in words, but in Dynamis.
