The Hebrew term “simchah” appears more than 90 times—from Genesis to Esther, from Job to the Prophets—and forms a common thread, which brings together the history of Israel, its worship, and its hopes and expectations for the future.

"Simchah" refers to the Joy, cheerfulness, jubilation, enthusiasm, and delight, which arises when God's people truly experience His presence, His care, and His promises.
