According to Matthew 13:39, many Christians expect before the return of Jesus a great harvest for the kingdom of God. They anticipate a revival of Christianity, a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit, supernatural manifestations of power as in the time of the early church, a tremendous release of signs and wonders, great multitudes of people accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and so on.
The prophetic statements pointing in this direction have been increasing dramatically for several years. According to Amos 3:7, the Lord does nothing without first revealing it to His servants the prophets. An image that appears again and again in numerous prophecies or visions is that of rushing water, a wave or a tsunami.
A tsunami is an impulse suddenly triggered by an undersea earthquake that cannot be stopped by anything, absolutely nothing. In German the phenomenon used to be aptly called "Erdbebenwoge" (earthquake wave). It is not a normal wave that only reaches a few meters deep at the surface, but an impulse that passes through the entire mass of water down to the bottom, however deep it may be. On the open sea usually only a small wave of a few centimeters can be seen at the surface, but as it approaches shallow water or land, it builds up into an ever-higher wave with tremendous force.
The meaning of the Japanese word "tsunami" reflects this. It means "harbor wave". The term comes from fishermen who had been working out on the open sea, then came home to their home port and found everything destroyed. The people told them about a huge wave. But the fishermen had noticed nothing at all out on the wide sea. So they concluded that it was a wave that had only appeared in the harbor - a harbor wave.
There are hundreds of prophetic statements from all over the world saying that a mighty work of God is "rolling toward" us. Like a tsunami, it is an impulse already set in motion that is approaching unstoppably. It cannot be stopped. It will reach us with absolute certainty. In the natural we may still see little; the sky seems blue and the sea mirror-smooth, but it is high time to make preparations now for what is coming upon us. It is a supernatural move of God, a wave of salvation in which the Gospel is no longer proclaimed with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power (1 Corinthians 2:4). It is a spiritual tsunami, glorious for the people of God, but terrible for His enemies. It brings great change, and visionary people can already see it approaching.
We would like to pass on to you here a small selection of the prophetic indications concerning the coming work of God – also in Germany and Central Europe.
