Touch, Contact, Laying On of Hands
One of the most normal things in our lives is to touch other people. This mostly happens in personal contact, for example by shaking someone's hand, taking a child by the hand, embracing someone, and much more. A touch is often a sign of love, affection, sympathy, kindness, comfort, closeness. A familiar, friendly touch expresses much that cannot be conveyed in other ways.
Martin explores with you what the Bible says on the subject of touch. Can something become holy or unholy, clean or unclean, through a mere touch? Does the Bible report on angels touching people? How did Jesus deal with the subject of touch? What significance does it have in the context of miracles? How is the laying on of hands to be understood?
All who touched him were completely healed.
Matthew 14:36
