The Old Testament tells us of a massive revolt during the wilderness journey of the people of Israel. Korah, a Levite, rose up with 250 other prominent Israelites against Moses and Aaron. With piously sounding words he demanded the equality of all Israelites before God and criticized that Moses and Aaron were exalting themselves over the rest of the people. This rebellion, coming at a very unfortunate time, was serious and could have had unforeseeable consequences for the history of the people of God.

But God intervened, and because of their rebellion, their arrogance, their stubbornness, and their lack of the fear of God, the rebels lost everything. A sad negative story … or is it? Martin looks with you at how the story of the Korah clan continues in the Bible. It offers us — especially in Germany too — a few surprising discoveries.
