The Pearls of the Overcomers
In Matthew 13:45–46, we find a very short parable. It is about a merchant: "But when he saw a particularly precious pearl "Once he had found her, he went and sold everything he had and bought her!" What does this parable mean? Who is it actually about?
Today, Sigrid will reflect with you on pearls and share a special testimony from her life. In the spiritual realm, pearls are as a sign and symbol of the victor. Because they arise from “foreign bodies”—things that invade us, cause friction, and bring pain—such as difficulties, hardships, fears, worries, and the like. That is why, in particular, The Book of Revelation has a lot to say about overcomers. And that's exactly where we find the description of the heavenly Jerusalem, which is said to have twelve gates, each made of a single pearl.
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes conquers the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
