Resurrection and Burning Hearts
Two men are traveling together — traumatized, disappointed, dejected. Everything had looked so good … A traveler joins them and strikes up a conversation with them. It is a conversation that will change their lives forever. The man explains to them from Scripture, starting from Moses through the words of the prophets, why the Messiah had to suffer, and in doing so also uses quite clear words: "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!" (Luke 24:25)
Many of us know such situations of doubt, disappointment, and dejection. What we need then is an intense encounter with our Lord. We must withdraw and seek his face, so that our heart too can begin to burn again. Sigrid talks with you about how your heart can catch fire for him afresh:
