Genuine Authority in Christ
In the New Testament, the ekklesia is called upon to consciously exercise the authority given to the Body of Christ and to take decisive action against the machinations of evil. In Ephesians 6:12, Paul writes that our spiritual battle is directed against the rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. And this is not merely a possibility, but a reality. Unfortunately, however, many Christians have little understanding of their spiritual standing, identity, and authority.
Sigrid needs a simple example from everyday life, which we all know, to illustrate how the authority entrusted to us as children of God works.
