It was a dramatic scene: a woman, whose name is not mentioned, quietly approached Jesus in the home of a man named Simon, carrying her precious alabaster jar filled with costly oil. With many tears, she does something irritating, something strange, she anointed Yeshua's feet. It was a moment of overwhelming emotion, and a deep longing she felt in her heart. But not everyone present appreciated her gift.

Sigrid will explore with you the biblical account of the anointing at Bethany, which has been passed down to us in such detail. What about our passion for Jesus? What about surrendering our entire lives to Him, the crucified and risen King? Are we, too, willing to give Him our “most precious possession” without reservation?

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.
