We come across it time and again in the Bible: the little word “Behold.” It’s worth exploring. Because this word is like the blast of a shofar before a herald's proclamation used, like an exclamation point, which precedes an important message. It demands our attention. It often refers to the Start of Something New, to change, to significant turning points. It points to God's intervention in human affairs.

Sigrid is certain that the command “Look!” especially important to us at the start of this new year is. Let the “Behold God” speak into your life! Stay focused on what He is doing, what He is saying, what new things He is creating—what He is showing you and helping you see.

Behold,, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear him, upon those who wait for his mercy.
