Bible passages on the topic of "judging"

A frequently recurring theme in the New Testament is the warning against judging, or the spirit of judgment, against the rejection of fellow believers on account of theological disputes. Of course it is necessary and scriptural to recognize false teachings and developments and to name them clearly. But the warnings to those who set themselves up as judges over others are extremely drastic on this point, as the following scriptures show:

Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
Matthew 7:1-5

This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you.
John 15:12

These things I command you, so that you will love one another!
John 15:17

Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges; for in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.
Romans 2:1

Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another?? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
