Our Confession of Faith

We identify with the Apostles' Creed of the Christian churches.

I believe in God, the Father
almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

We believe that God is our wonderful Father. He is the Creator and Lord of the whole universe. He is unimaginably creative. He loves all people as His creatures and wants every person to live in a personal, open and heartfelt relationship of love with Him. We believe that Christianity is not a question of membership in an institution, but a question of this living relationship with God.

And in Jesus Christ
his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into the realm of the dead;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven;
he is seated at the right hand of God,
the Father almighty;
from there he will come
to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in Jesus Christ, in His deity, His first coming to this earth as the "suffering Messiah", His virgin birth, His completely sinless life, the miracles accomplished through Him and His crucifixion at Golgotha, where He died vicariously for the sins of humanity.

We believe that He came to this earth to tear down the separation between God and humanity and to give people the possibility of living a life in fellowship with God again.

We believe that death could not hold Him and that after three days He rose again from the dead. Through the ascension He was taken up again into the heavenly world and has since reigned there at the right hand of God. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him.

We believe in His second coming as the "reigning Messiah", to rule in power and glory.

I believe in the Holy Spirit
the holy Christian church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the dead
and life everlasting.
Amen.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead. The Holy Spirit is the counselor, helper, inspirer and comforter sent by Jesus, who gives us the equipment for authoritative witness. He reveals spiritual truths and the nature of God to people. He gives us various charisms (supernatural gifts) and brings about lifelong character transformation, which the Bible calls sanctification or the fruit of the Spirit.

We believe that all believers can experience being filled with the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the unity of the people who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and believe in Him. Together they all form the worldwide church, the community of saints, the body of Jesus.

We believe in a life after death, in a divine judgment and in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life and of the lost to eternal damnation.

We believe that personal rebirth is imperative for salvation.

This happens through repentance and a conscious decision to surrender one's life to Jesus Christ. To willingly accept Jesus' substitutionary sacrificial death for oneself personally is the only way to cleansing and liberation from all sin and the restoration of the relationship with God.

We believe that Communion lets us personally experience a deep connection with the events of Golgotha.

We believe in the significance of baptism as a subsequent confirmation of conversion and rebirth.

We believe that the redeeming work of Jesus Christ on the cross includes, in addition to the forgiveness of sins, numerous other blessings, such as physical and psychological healing or deliverance from all kinds of bondages.

We believe: God has more for every person who turns to Him in trust.

We believe: God has more for you too!
