In a prophetic vision, Martin saw, coming from heaven, a huge comet like a fireball – 40 to 50 km in diameter – falling at great speed onto Europe, specifically onto the region of central Germany.

In the natural, such an event would have catastrophic consequences on a global scale. The crater would be several hundred kilometers in diameter. Large parts of Europe would be completely devastated by the extreme thermal radiation and heat, the shock waves, earthquakes and the ejected material. Even if the earth were not destroyed or knocked out of its orbit by such an impact, an event like this would be an existential threat to human civilization today.

But in Martin’s vision something completely different and unexpected happened …

With Holy Communion—please prepare.

For behold, YHWH will come in fire
