God Is Doing New Things

What God has promised, He will also do. His promises are not empty words; they carry the power of fulfilment within them. Yet between the promise and its becoming visible there often lies a time of faith, waiting and endurance. Joseph, David, Abraham and many others experienced exactly that: first came the promise, then the path of preparation, and finally the fulfilment.

Even if you cannot see anything yet, God is already at work. He orders times, people and circumstances, and at the same time prepares you and what is to come. So do not despise small beginnings. The God who made a way yesterday will be faithful tomorrow as well.

With Holy Communion—please prepare.
