We tend to evaluate the circumstances and situations in our lives. What is pleasant, Let's call it good. Anything that is difficult, challenging, or painful, let's call it bad. This categorization happens almost automatically. Our feelings, our hopes, and our ideas about how our lives should unfold play a crucial role in how we judge these events.

When something fits our plans, We see it as a blessing. When something thwarts our plans or puts us in difficult situations, it seems to us to be a disadvantage or even a misfortune.

But is that really wise? There's this little story about an old farmer who had a son and a horse…

How incomprehensible are his judgments, and how unfathomable are his ways!
