The German word “begeistert” is interesting—after all, it contains the word “Geist” (spirit).
Today, “enthusiastic” means: passionate, full of joy, full of vigor, carried away, filled with inner fire, showing strong interest, or expressing great admiration.
But has it always been that way? Where does the term originally come from, and what did it mean back then?

With Holy Communion—please prepare.

Serve the Lord with joy; come before him with gladness!
Psalm 100:2

God has more for you!
